Chad and Chad, who are doing the tile work, have done a superb job on our new shower. The tile is mostly in place, and the grout comes next.

The border is very nice and really “pops.” It consists of small glass blocks with a dark bronze pencil edge above and below.

Another sign of progress is the installation of baseboard trim in the addition. Can flooring be far behind?

Back in the furnace room, the new Trane furnace is hooked into the ductwork. In fact, we would have air conditioning today but for an equipment breakdown. The vacuum pump the HVAC guys use to prepare the new A/C unit gave up the ghost, so no A/C until at least tomorrow. Luckily, we are in the midst of unusually cool July weather, so it’s not too bad without A/C.
