Today was devoted to a lot of painting and a lot of prep work for tiling the bathroom.

In the family room, Chad from Wesson trimmed out the sliding exterior door so final painting could begin. Then a full crew of four painters went to work, painting the trim in both the quilt studio and the family room. It was done by the end of the day.

Chad started laying out tile in the bathroom and taking measurements. He consulted with us about what sort of tile pattern we wanted, something we had never even thought about! We talked it over and decided on a brick-type pattern that will be arranged so that you’ll notice it when entering the room. It’s an important factor in how the finished bathroom will look, but not something that was on our radar.
