A mysterious 5-foot crack appeared in the ceiling of the quilt studio. It’s likely that someone working in the attic inadvertently stepped on it. A section of drywall had to be replaced, and this part of the ceiling will need to be re-painted.

In the laundry room, the base cabinet and countertop were installed. The space to the right of the cabinet will house a rolling laundry hamper.

Materials have arrived for the construction of the design wall in Lynda’s quilt studio. Two door panels will be combined to make a barn door that will slide back and forth on a track installed above the closet and bookcase below. The whole barn door will become the design wall.

As more fixtures and supplies are delivered, they end up being stored wherever there is room. Today, I found a pair of toilets in the family room!

The first of our new flooring was installed today. For the laundry room and quilt studio we selected Mannington Adura in the Dockside Seashell finish. It’s a type of luxury vinyl with a “distressed wood” look. In a few short hours, the laundry room was done and the quilt studio mostly done.

Meanwhile, the finishing guys from Wesson were cutting and installing baseboard molding throughout the addition. And the new cultured marble countertop for the master bath made its appearance.
