The painters stepped aside today so the Wesson guys could fix the window trim (see yesterday’s post). The trim was never properly installed years ago when the family room was built. It’s solid now.

The windows themselves were masked off yesterday. With that done, the window trim is ready for painting, which will be performed with a sprayer.

Also in the family room, the guys sprayed expanding foam in the crevices around the slider. It insulates and also secures the slider.

In the new shower, we made the final decision about the location of niches for holding shampoo, soap, and other bathing products. The guys then installed the Schluter KERDI-BOARD system of reinforced extruded polystyrene foam panels. The panels are ready for the application of ceramic tile, but that is still some days away.

Speaking of niches, I asked for this one in the bathroom for storage of reading materials!
