A major goal of our project is to enlarge and improve the master bedroom. For the past month, our bedroom has not been usable.

So we have set up a temporary bedroom in our living room. In addition to our bed, we have also moved three recliners into the living room, which is getting crowded. Needless to say, we aren’t inviting over many visitors at the moment!

For the past month, our bedroom has been out of commission.

In a few weeks, we should be back in the bedroom, and the living room will return to normal. In the meantime, things will get worse before they get better as we lose the use of our master bath, most of the family room, and Lynda’s quilt studio. The garage will soon start to fill up with furniture and belongings.

Ever since framing began on our addition, we’ve had a ZipWall dust barrier occupying one end of the family room. The device allows very messy work to be performed on the wall between the addition and the family room without dust and construction debris getting into the room.

It’s worked well, and we have continued using the family room every day. In the not-too-distant future a door will be installed, providing access from the family room to the new laundry room.

The ZipWall keeps the construction mess out of the family room.
